It’s hard to believe that it’s been 3 weeks since the opening at Dryden Gallery. I am so thankful for all the people that came out and shared the evening with me. It was a whirlwind! We didn’t even have time to take any photos!

Now it’s time to think about the gallery talk at Dryden November 3rd at 2pm. I’m not accustomed to public speaking so I’ve billed the event as a conversation, but I did write something about the possibility of art enabling people to see things with new eyes. If there is a reason for painting, then that is my reason, to offer the gift of seeing newly and feeling deeply. I’ll also bring some of my materials and answer questions on process. Come if you can!

  1. Hi Lorena, I’m friends with your sister-in-law, Jane and have a print of Tabitha’s World sitting in front of my home office desk. It always makes me smile and I look forward to seeing your work on the 3rd.

    Lorena,

I wasn’t able to make the opening, alas, but just went today with out of town guests. We absolutely loved it, but some paintings were already pulled from display , presumably sold. I wish the monthly series were not being sold separately. It should stay together!!I what a terrific vision.

I gave your info to someone new to ri who wants to get involved politically.Hope that’s ok. (Rosalind),

    Fondly,

Will you share your written remarks.

    This catches one’s imagination:

…..the possibility of art enabling people to see things with new eyes. If there is a reason for painting, then that is my reason, to offer the gift of seeing newly and feeling deeply.
